Regan Turns (Gulp) 17!

Wow, how time flies! It seems like only yesterday that we were sitting in our health class at BYU studying human reproduction (ironically) on that day that Jen took a pregnancy test. Something like late January/early February 1991. What a shocker! We had planned on waiting until after graduation to begin the family process, but someone had other plans. This little bundle of joy came screaming (literally) into our lives at about 12:50 a.m. on a Saturday morning (Nov 2)after nearly 14 hours of labor. Regan has always been very bright and loves to learn. She impressed plenty of people at the age of two because they thought that she could read. What was more impressive is that she had memorized several entire books and simply recited them back to people while she turned the pages. In addition to being a great student, Regan also loves music and takes practice very seriously. She is currently taking voice lessons and plays clarinet in the symphonic band at Clearfield HS. She also plays the piano and saxaphone and wants to learn 10 other instruments. She recently sang the national anthem at a Pep Rally at school and wants to go to the national anthem tryouts for the Jazz, Bees, and Raptors. She loves Seminary, boys (especially that Archuletta kid), her Toyota, the dogs, Cafe Rio, BYU, and her family (including grandparents and cousins). She details cars (sometimes) and works part time at Modest By Design near the Layton Hills Mall. As parents we're lucky to have her and we're proud of the choices that she makes every day. Before we know it she'll be off to college and onto a new phase in her journey. Sigh . . . . we hope it doesn't come too soon.
